Amedaki Waterfalls
In and around the Amedaki area, the old stratum of Amedaki andesite formed by volcanic activities around the time when the Sea of Japan was formed is covered by the newer stratum of lava from Mt. Oginosen. The stratum from Mt. Oginosen is so hard that waterfalls have formed in the stratum. Since the old days, priests have trained here under the waterfalls, and many people have also visited and worshipped the waterfalls.
